Seth and Jessica Malec
God has led the Malec family- Seth, Jessica, Jillian, Lydia and Clara- to work in Arequipa, the second-largest city in Peru. Arequipa is a very traditional, very Roman Catholic city. They have been sent out by Liberty Baptist Church and approved by TEAM to work under an established church, Iglesia Biblica Cristiana Arequipa, to reach Peruvians with the Gospel and train them how to reach their countrymen with that same Gospel. Their family will be specifically serving alongside Peruvians, as they work together to plant churches in the Arequipa region.
Since 2017, they have been able to start three different home Bible studies as part of a church-planting effort. By God’s grace and power, they are seeing disciples of Christ growing in their relationship with the Lord and their desire to see others come to Christ. Along with their partners Edward and Esme Zárate, missionaries from the UK, they are planning on starting the new church plant in June of 2020.
